In collaboration with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Council, CSC was delighted to host a chess tournament for the borough’s primary schools at Kensington Town Hall on Tuesday, 25th March.

On Tuesday 18th March helped organise The Boleyn Trust’s inaugural inter-school chess tournament.

Following its success at the London Chess Classic, held at the Arsenal stadium, Whitefield Primary got the chance to visit Anfield too.

Grandmaster Gawain Jones had a spectacular tournament, clinching his first title at the XTX Markets London Chess Classic, held at Arsenal FC's Emirates Stadium.

On Monday, 25th November, from 4pm to 5pm, CSC will host an online qualifying event on Lichess for the English Chess Federation’s National Schools Chess Championships.

On Saturday, 19th October, the sixth tournament of the CSC Junior Grand Prix took place at South Hampstead High School.

Participating in the St Albans Community Showcase was a great opportunity to connect with other charities and volunteers.

Congratulations to three exceptional CSC partner schools—Park End Primary School in Middlesbrough, St William of York Catholic Primary School in Liverpool, and Stepney Park Primary School in London—who have been awarded the British Chess Educational Trust (BCET) award for 2024.

Students from CSC schools in Hackney participated in an exciting summer tournament.
